Dr. Erik Rebbe earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy Degree (DPT) from the University of Miami in 2016 where he graduated with honors. Since graduating, Dr. Rebbe has continued to improve his knowledge and skill set for the optimal treatment of his patients by becoming a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, BFR Certified, SMT-1 Certified, as well as IASTM-1 Certified and many more continuing education courses. Dr. Rebbe is also an LSVT BIG Certified clinician and has experience treating neurological patients including Parkinson, CVA, and MS. He applied these skills as the director of a successful Miami based orthopedic outpatient physical therapy clinic, prior to opening Rebbe Rehab.

As a DPT, Dr. Rebbe’s focus is on optimizing the quality of life of each of his patients through a customized treatment plan incorporating advanced manual techniques, therapeutic exercises, and neuromuscular re-education.Dr. Rebbe treats people from all backgrounds, all ages, young children to senior citizens, and professional athletes to people suffering from a range of health issues. Most of his patients are referred by physicians and surgeons when patients can achieve greater benefit from physical therapy than they would from medication or surgery. In fact, primary care doctors regularly refer patients to Dr. Rebbe as the first course of action, because it is the least intrusive approach and avoids the risk of overmedicating, and the one that will lead to maximum benefit to patients.

Physiotherapy is used to promote strength, function and mobility to treat current injury and dysfunction as well as prevent future physical injury, utilizing both scientific knowledge and evidence based clinical diagnosis. Physical therapy focuses primarily on those individuals whose potential or actual impairment is related to musculoskeletal, neuromusculo skeletal, cardiopulmonary, and integument (skin) systems. Many of Dr. Rebbe’s patients seek his care for pain management and/or rehabilitation from an acute injury like a sprained ankle, rotator cuff injury, whiplash, or muscle strain. Dr. Rebbe also has extensive experience and success in management of chronic conditions such as osteoarthritis, spinal stenosis, hip pain, wrist pain, neck pain, or even headaches. Treatments offered by Dr. Rebbe can also support recovery after a stroke, and improve clinical outcomes after knee, hip or joint replacement.
